Life's a grind at Sprouts
There aren't many stores left that grind all their own meat. It's a labor-intensive process that requires both patience and skill – two things lacking in the retail world of the 21st Century. But at Sprouts, we have found that it is well worth the effort!
- We make ground beef several times daily, using only natural domestic whole muscle cuts for a moist, flavorful old fashioned burger; our goal is to get the burger from the grinder into your basket within hours, not days.
- We use a special Old Tyme grinding technique that creates a smoother and more tender texture.
- We never use any of the conventional shortcuts, like buying factory-prepared "tube grinds" or flushing the ground meat with nitrogen to keep it looking red.
- To really stand out from the crowd, we also offer fresh ground organic beef, as well as ground pork, lamb, turkey breast, chicken breast and sometimes chicken thighs – ask for it if you don't see it!
